Night of January 13 in Ukraine: Massive Russian Strike on Civilians and the Energy Sector
Last night, Russia launched nearly 300 drones and 25 missiles at Ukraine. The main strikes targeted frontline regions and critical infrastructure.
📍 Kharkiv region: the heaviest losses and the most difficult situation were recorded in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The enemy struck the Post Office (Nova Poshta) terminal in the town of Korotych.
Four employees of the sorting center and drivers were killed, and four more were injured.
A Russian drone also attacked a children’s sanatorium, causing a fire.
📍 Dnipropetrovsk region: Kryvyi Rih, the Nikopol district, and the Synelnykove district came under fire. Two people were injured (a 69-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man). Homes, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged.
📍 Sumy region: In Sumy, a drone struck civilian infrastructure — a dormitory and a café were damaged, and a man was injured.
📍 Odesa region: residential buildings, a school, a kindergarten, and a hospital were damaged. A woman with a fracture was hospitalized; in total, six people were injured. Due to strikes on energy facilities, about 47,000 households were left without electricity.
📍 Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions: energy facilities were attacked. Emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and the Bucha district.
Strikes on postal terminals, children’s sanatoriums, and power plants during freezing temperatures constitute deliberate terror against ordinary people.
Our sincere condolences to the families of those killed.
The Association extends its condolences to the families of those who were killed in the Russian attack and wishes a speedy recovery to all the injured.
